Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush

Amazingly, C-bao is coming to the end of her year in the Rainbow Dolphin class at her school, and in celebration of a great year her class put together a spring musical.

The musical was Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush, and C-bao was assigned an important role as one of the Gardeners.

By the way, C-Mum astutely noticed that the key sign with the show name had a number of, um, "autographs" repeated several times in 3 or 4 places on the sign.

Here the performers enter the outdoor stage area, to great fanfare and applause.

Here are a couple of snippets of the story narration and accompanying songs.

Both C-Pop and C-Mum attended the show, and  Aunt Christina cut short her workday and came all the way up from South San Francisco to catch little C-bao in action. Aunt Christina brought a nice flower for our star performer.

Rabbit Hole Drama

Over spring break C-bao attended a superb summer camp for a week (discovered by C-Mum of course) called The Rabbit Hole. The camp centered around drama and theater, and on the last day, C-bao and her camp friends put on a nice little performance, entitled The Time Machine Crystal Ball.

C-Pop was coming back from business travel but flew through the airport and to the city, just in time to catch her act.

C-bao was a little shy and took some coaxing, but frankly did quite a bit better than many of the kiddos in the class. Here she is with her celebratory week-ending flower to commemorate her experience.

Flower Girl

And here it is! The culmination of all of the rehearsing and dressing up, jet lag and thousands of miles across the Pacific.

As noted in the last post, the wedding ceremony was held at the Chijmes, a historic building complex in Singapore, on a beautiful Sunday morning.

C-bao makes her first appearance at 3:19 in the video, and her entrance into the hall at 3:35 (after a quick pep talk by C-Mum). While she hung on pretty tightly to those petals, and accelerated down the aisle particularly after the midway point, overall she looked quite comfortable with all of the attention.

The C-folks were very proud of her performance. Sister K-bao and Cousin Elizabeth were also magnificent.
