Let's Shake Feet

Friendly little C-bao enjoys shaking hands and can often be observed walking up to someone and saying,  "握握手,好朋友" (Let's shake hands and be good friends).

That's why she got a particular kick when her sister taught her instead to say ""握握,好朋友" (Let's shake feet and be good friends) - which she now insists on taking her shoes off and doing at every opportunity.

Eyes Ears Nose Mouth

C-bao has become a regular chatterbox and is now generally able to understand most things her parents tell her - though at times she pretends not to hear or comprehend some of the more annoying commands (e.g. "Don't play with the toilet").

In those moments she will, with a huge, impish grin on her face, ignore whatever is being said and plunge forward with her mischief, though not without looking back with a sly look to make sure her naughtiness is being observed.

In general, though, C-bao is fairly compliant with parental directives, and will indulge her folks when asked to smile, sit down or come here. She also is able to express herself reasonably clearly - bao-bao (pick me up), poo-poo (which she says excitedly and repeatedly while she points at her diaper), xie xie (thank you), yao-yao (I want, I want), roof-roof (whenever she sees a dog on the street), etc.

Here she demonstrates her command of her various body parts and happily points out her appendages (or raises them, as appropriate).

Tasty

C-bao enjoys the finer things of life.

Some of you may remember when sister K-bao first discovered the pleasures of twinkle toes. The last recorded incident was at 18 months old, which we include below for comparison.

Pretzel

Another reason C-bao hates covering up her little hoofs is because it doesn't allow her to demonstrate her remarkably flexible and agile footsy moves. Here she demonstrates the "pretzel foot" - which involves twisting and turning her feet and toes in quick succession.

Hands & Feet

The C-folks are continually amazed at young C-bao's miniscule, intricate, still-wrinkled hands and feet. Little works of art they are.

By the way, those little hands have unusual grip strength, as noted by doctors shortly after birth - bodes well for future firm handshakes.

C-Mum has been eyeing those long fingers and fantasizing about future piano concert halls. Meanwhile, C-Pop is hoping that those slender pedal digits will give the little one a good jump off the blocks (that's right, good sprinters have longer toes).
